Supporting recovery… investing in futures
Our priority is to prevent child exploitation and trafficking from ever happening, but there is an immediate need that must also be met. That’s where the Survivor Fund comes in.
Our Survivor Fund addresses the gaps in the US system. For a variety of reasons, safehomes are easier to establish in other countries. Due to the requirements of Social Services, the legalities involved in serving minors, and the sheer lack of beds available, very few survivors are being placed in safehomes in the US. Instead, children are typically placed in foster care, group homes and detention centers.
Through the Survivor Fund we can give directly to the needs of survivors no matter where they are placed. It provides an innovative system for Social Workers, safehome directors and victims specialists to request funds to meet the urgent, tangible needs of the survivors they serve. Our volunteer distribution team made up of clinical professionals reviews each case and thoughtfully distributes funds to meet immediate needs.
We fund emergencies and opportunities. We provide for emergency needs such as rehab, surgery/long term medical care, and opportunities for therapy, counseling, skills and career assessments, and education. We invest in their current need as well as their future path.
We are currently focusing on survivors in Colorado, Southern California, Mexico City and Tijuana with future expansion to the US cities struggling the most with child exploitation.
In the past 15 months we have distributed over $50,000 to meet the needs of over 50 survivors.
Join us in impacting the lives of these kids today!
