Empower Las Vegas is all about local collaboration, outreach, and impact through a victim-centered approach to end human trafficking. We are reaching out to the community through The Apathy Effect Exhibit and the Las Vegas Premiere of the documentary Be Relentless. We are impacting youth and adults through trainings and The Empower Youth Program.
BE RELENTLESS PREMIERE March 12

This will be the Las Vegas premiere of the award winning documentary Be Relentless at the Smith Center. Be Relentless is the story of ultra-athlete and human trafficking survivor Norma Bastidas, shattering the Guinness World Record for the longest triathlon in history as her stand against exploitation. Norma will be at the screening and speaking at schools.

Immersive and interactive learning through the Apathy Effect Exhibit
-Multimedia exhibit educating audiences on the cause and effects of exploitation and human trafficking within our communities. Learn from the stories of survivor leaders and activists making a difference as told through film, photography, and artifacts.
Victim-Centered Approach led by survivor leader Annika Mack
-Learn about human trafficking and a victim-centered approach from a survivor’s perspective.
Best Practices for First Responders and Frontline Workers led by Southern Nevada Human Trafficking Task Force representatives.
-Learn best practices on recognizing and responding to human trafficking. Learn about local resources and collaborative opportunities to combat the issue.
Saturday Only: Prevention Approach Workshop
