iEmpathize reminds me that we always have to challenge our beliefs and capabilities and develop creativity in order to grow up, to do more, and to do better in every area of our lives, particularly in how we serve others. The team’s belief in me gives me confidence and energy. The team’s excitement is contagious, and makes me want to “act as if it were impossible to fail,” as author Dorthea Brande said.
Every time I had an opportunity to talk with victims and survivors they taught me that giving up is not an option. One person’s injustice is everyone’s injustice. I will walk in 2014 as St. Francis of Assisi said: Start by doing what’s necessary, then do what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
