why prioritize prevention?

According to the United Nations, only one out of every 100 victims of human trafficking is rescued. Preventing the most vulnerable from entering human trafficking is crucial. Training adults to identify and report victims of modern slavery is paramount. Once a victim becomes ensnared by a trafficker, it may be hard to break the cycle of abuse.
